Clear rules for a sensitive product

These terms explain how Back In The Picture works, how credits are used, and how we handle generation issues. This page is written for clarity and may be updated as the product evolves.

Service overview

Back In The Picture helps users create AI-assisted keepsake photos by combining a group photo with a portrait supplied by the user. Results depend on the quality, angle, age, lighting, and clarity of the source photos.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and protect access to your account. The service is intended for adults. A parent or legal guardian must supervise use involving a minor and must have permission to use the relevant photos.

Your photos and permissions

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You grant Back In The Picture a limited permission to store, transmit, and process those photos only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the requested service. You must own the photos or have all rights and consents needed to use them.

Third-party AI services

Back In The Picture is an independent service that uses third-party generative image models and infrastructure to perform parts of the requested workflow. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those model providers. Provider availability and model behavior can affect processing time and output quality.

Credits and payments

Credits are one-time digital purchases, not subscriptions. Different photo sets may use different credit amounts based on difficulty, and the required amount is shown before generation. Credits do not expire while the service remains available. Card payments, taxes, receipts, and payment refunds are handled by Creem; Back In The Picture does not store full card details.

Generated outputs

AI outputs are probabilistic and may contain visual errors, identity drift, artifacts, or unintended changes. You are responsible for reviewing a result before sharing, printing, or relying on it. Generated keepsakes must not be presented as unedited documentary proof of an event.

Refunds and generation issues

If generation is interrupted before completion, the app is designed to return the deducted credits automatically. If a result clearly fails, such as missing people, duplicate people, background replacement, or an unusable output, contact support so we can review and credit the attempt when appropriate.

Responsible use

Only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not use the service for impersonation, deception, deepfakes, face-swap deception, public-figure misuse, harassment, NSFW, explicit, sexually suggestive, sexual, non-consensual, or unlawful activity, or to claim an edited image is documentary proof of an event. For memorial or sensitive family photos, we encourage private review and family consent before sharing generated results publicly.

Availability and enforcement

We may block unsafe requests, suspend accounts that violate these terms, remove unlawful content, or change and discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, but paid generation failures are handled under our refund and credit policy.

Contact and support

For account, payment, generation, or privacy questions, contact support@backinthepicture.com. Include your account email and the relevant order or generation details when possible.
